Men's Basketball holds off Earlham 88-87 in OT

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Bluffton University men held off upstart Earlham College for an 88-87 overtime road victory on Wednesday, Dec. 7. Bluffton improved to 6-1 (1-1 HCAC) after the one-point win while Earlham slipped to 3-4 (0-2 HCAC). The Beavers led by as many as 14 points early in the second half but it took a Trey Elchert (Jackson Center) triple with 11 seconds remaining to force the extra period.

Roberson and Zickafoose All-North Region

BLUFFTON, Ohio - For the second straight season, the Bluffton University football team has two all-region selections in junior Micah Roberson (Ada) and sophomore Isaac Zickafoose (Middlebury, Ind./Northridge). Roberson is the second two-time D3football.com All-North Region honoree in the past two seasons following 2015 First Team selection Ryan Aelker. It also marks the third straight year that a Bluffton defensive lineman has been named All-North Region. Roberson was named Second Team All-North Region, while Zickafoose was a Third Team honoree.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Bluffton University women's basketball team won each quarter en route to a 67-44 dismantling of a quality Transylvania University squad on Saturday, Dec. 3. The Beavers stayed perfect at 5-0 overall after winning their Heartland Conference lidlifter. Transy slipped to 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the HCAC.

Men drop HCAC opener 83-60 at Transy

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Bluffton University men's basketball team fell to Transylvania University 83-60 in the Heartland Conference opener on Saturday, Dec. 3. Bluffton saw its five-game winning streak come to an end as the Beavers fell to 5-1 and 0-1 in the HCAC. Transy evened up its overall mark at 2-2 with a 1-0 start in the conference.

Bluffton women head to Transy with 4-0 mark

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The first two weeks of basketball have been kind to both the Bluffton University men and women as the Beavers have combined for a perfect 9-0 mark heading into Heartland Conference action on Saturday, Dec. 3. It marks the first time in Bluffton history that both teams have sported a bagel in the loss column at this point of the season!
