PromoHits accepting nominations for PromoCares Program

Selected charities will receive funds generated from January to June 2020

PromoHits Ltd., Bluffton, continues to commit to donating 5% of its total product sales to local charities through its PromoCares initiative, according to Melinda Bowen, owner.

To date, the program has generated $26,866.50 with two months left to go in 2019.

“We are grateful to our clients who have supported our desire to help others and, through their orders, have assisted us in helping eight charities who are making a difference in the lives of so many,” said Bowden.

Next brown bag discussion Nov. 19

The Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs (BCE) is hosting a Brown Bag Discussion series on topics of interest to small businesses.

The small group gatherings at town hall are designed to fit into busy schedules and allow for plenty of questions and answers. You’re welcome to bring your lunch or dinner, while the BCE provides dessert.

On Oct. 23, our conversation focused on commercial building permits, with Jesse Blackburn of the Village of Bluffton and Mike Rudey of Wood County Inspection fielding our questions.

“Getting your house in order” workshop Nov. 13

Features four Bluffton business professional organizations

Four Bluffton business professionals will offer a free “Getting Your House In Order” workshop this month.

Faith Investment Services, partnering with Fortman Insurance, Scott Basinger, attorney at law, and Neil Reichenbach, CPA, present workshops addressing basic questions about retirement, insurance coverage, taxes and similar subjects.

The workshop is at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the front portion of Faith Investment Services building, 101 N. Main St., Bluffton.

14 new member in 12 months

Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce continues growth

During the last 12 months, the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) has welcomed 14 new members.

 “Great networking and communication opportunities are our number one attraction and, in turn, our members provide fantastic support for our events and programs,” said Paula Scott, Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce CEO. 

“And while the majority of our members are based in Bluffton, we have very active members from other communities including Arlington, Findlay, Lima, Ottawa and Pandora.”
