The Bluffton Senior Center has canceled all of April’s activities and will remain closed until the Governor deems it safe to gather together again, according to Tonya Meyer, center director.
Limiting visits to emergency and medical care; hours Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Here’s a business update from Family Eyecare Clinic, 107 N. Main St., Bluffton.
As we’ve been monitoring this rapidly changing nature of COVID-19, we want you to know that we are doing our best to navigate.
Together, as a community we are facing trying times and the current pandemic is affecting all of us. We wanted to reach out with an update on how we are handling our business to best support the health and safety of both you and our team.
Spectrum Salon, 422 N. Main St., Bluffton, can take orders for product needs of customers, according to Mandy Kinn, shop owner.
“If you need a product, place an order via direct message, email, or phone message at Spectrum Salon by 5 p.m. on Thursday’s each week. We can deliver it to your doorstep on Friday,” she said.
She added that once your order is placed the salon will contact you concerning your payment, which will insure confirmation of your order.
The Dough Hook, 117 N. Main St., Bluffton, continues to serve customers and now offers curbside pickup and local delivery with orders of $20 or more. The lobby is closed to walk-in customers.
It will work like this:
•Call 419-369-4264 to order what you want. It can even be for a cookie or a donut all the way to a year’s worth of meat.
• We will give you a time frame of when your order will be completed.
• Park outside our door and give us a call to let us know you’re there.

Wow, what a difference a month makes. Much of what the BCE had planned for March went by the wayside. With non-essential business being conducted from home, we’re all learning to adjust.
I’ll be leading my first Zoom video meeting this week and have taken to paying with my smart phone when I can. This old girl is learning new tricks!
