"Operation Arctic" takes place at English Lutheran July 16-20

All youth who are age 4 by July 1 through 5th grade are invited to register for Operation Arctic this year's theme for the Bluffton Community Vacation Bible School.
This year the community VBS will be held at English Lutheran Church, 111 Grove St., from Sunday, July 16, through Thursday, July 20. VBS is held from 6 to 8 p.m. each evening. There is no cost for VBS.
Delegates from across the Midwest will attend June 22-24

Delegates across the Midwest from congregations in the Central District Conference of Mennonite Church USA will be in Bluffton Thursday through Saturday, June 22-24 for the conference's annual meeting.
Drew G. I. Hart, professor, author, activist, and former pastor, who is author of "The Trouble I’ve seen: Changing the Way the Church Views Racism," is a guest speaker.
Doug Luginbill of Bluffton is the conference minister of CDC. Three area CDC churches are First Mennonite, Bluffton; Grace Mennonite, Pandora; and First Mennonite, Lima.

Bluffton First Mennonite Church will observe Peace Sunday on Sunday, June 18, with worship led by various members of the Mission, Peace and Service commission. Kyle Miller will deliver the sermon, "Shaming the Kingdom of the Sword." Special music will be provided by Wendy Chappell-Dick, Steve and Monica Harnish.
At the end of the 10:30 a.m. worship service, FMC will dedication their new Peace Pole in memory of the late Rev. Steven Yoder. He served as pastor at First Mennonite for 15 years until his death in June of 2016.
The Pandora United Methodist Church will be host a free community meal on Wednesday, June 28, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora.
The meal this month is provided by Missions and Friends. The menu will be baked potato bar, hamburger sandwich, salad, applesauce, cake, punch/coffee.
“Sing,” a family-friendly animated movie, will be shown free on Friday, June 16, at 9:15 p.m., on the Presbyterian Church lawn, corner of Main and Cherry streets, Bluffton.
As a nod to the vintage cars that will be cruising down Bluffton’s streets that evening during the Festival of Wheels, freshly made popcorn will be available for 10 cents a bag.
Bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a fun, old-fashioned movie experience. In case of rain, the movie will be shown in the church sanctuary.
