Hancock County Watershed tour June 14

Sponsored by Blanchard River Watershed Partnership

The Blanchard River Watershed Partnership (BRWP) is holding a Watershed Tour on Friday, June 14 at Brugeman Lodge, 9250 Township Road 208, Findlay, OH 45840 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

As part of this event, participants will get to explore Deer Meadows Wetlands, Riverside Park Dam, meet policymakers and water quality resource professionals, and learn more about the Clean Lake 2020 Plan.

A continental breakfast with coffee and juice will be served from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

The Village of Bluffton is a participating partner in the Blanchard River Watershed Partnership.

Become a volunteer guardian

with Crime Victim Services, Lima

Crime Victim Services, Lima, invites Icon viewers to become volunteer guardians for persons in Allen and Putnam counties, according to Elysia Bush, director of the CVS elder victim ministry and guardian programs.

Court-sworn guardians are needed to make decisions related to social services, housing and healthcare for individuals deemed unable to make those decisions themselves. 

A session explaining the program is at noon and again at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 23, at Crime Victim Services, 330 N. Elizabeth St. Lima. A light meal is included.

Greenhorn invites you to pre-opening event

Saturday evening of music and sweets

Note: Greenhorn will hold its official public opening with established hours soon. Until then, it holds small and private events. Contact Jonah Agner at The Food Store for more details. Jonah Agner and Bob Bell of Findlay are the restaurant owners.

Greenhorn, a new Bluffton restaurant at 112 Vine St.,  – formerly Bystillwaters Bistro – plans a pre-opening event Saturday, May 18, with all-you-can-eat sweets and a concert by its very own house band.

Don't forget Saturday morning's bike rodeo

Bluffton Police, Bike Crazy and Bluffton Pediatrics will host a bike rodeo from 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, at the Buckeye park.

The event for youth will include bike riding safety skills, free helmets (limited quantity) and prize drawings.

Krysti's Music Studio announces spring recitals

The students of Krysti’s Music Studio have been working diligently all year and would like to share one of their musical numbers with you.

The upcoming recitals will showcase their talents. There will be different students at each of the recitals. Piano, guitar, violin, voice, and ukulele are some of the instruments that will be performed.

Each recital should not last more than about 30-45 minutes.

Pirate Youth Football Camp June 3-5

A Bluffton Pirate Youth Football camp will be Monday through Wednesday, June 3 to 5, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Harmon Field and the Ricky Matter Center.

This year's camp will focus on fundamental football skills, encourage teamwork, and includes a daily guest speaker.

The cost is $30 per camper, which includes instruction, t-shirt, prizes and snacks.
