Ann Boyd gives talk on herbs April 2 at library

"Growing and Using Herbs," by expert herb speaker Ann Boyd, is the topic of a program free and open to the public in April at the Bluffton Public Library.

 

The program, organized by the Gardener's of the Bluffton/Pandora Area, is from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, in the library's lower level. It is open to persons of all ages and experience levels.

Hilty Home Easter egg hunt March 30

Hilty Memorial Home's annual Easter egg hunt, sponsored by Pandora Mother's Club, will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 30.

"The Croods" starts Friday at Shannon Theatre

"The Croods" (PG), an animated comedy, will premier in Bluffton starting Friday, March 29 and running through Thursday, April 4.

Show times are every evening at 7 p.m. and  9:30 p.m. with matinees on BOTH Friday and Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and  4 p.m.. (All shows are in 2D).

There will be no Sunday afternoon shows due to Easter but both evening shows will run as planned.

"Alice in Wonderland" BHS musical April 12-13-14 - tickets now on sale

Bluffton High School presents "Alice in Wonderland," the Prince Street Players' version, Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m. on the Middle School stage, according to Kevin Gratz, director.

Tickets are now on sale at Bluffton Middle School during office hours. Tickets are: 

• Reserved seating tickets $10
• Adult General Admission tickets $5
• Student General Admission tickets $3

Family Night and Silly Saturday on BFR's early April calendar

BFR will offer two programs for the first weekend in April that families with young children are welcome to attend, according to Carole Enneking of BFR.

Friday, April 5, from 6-8 p.m. is a Family Night with activity stations planned in the arena. 

Activities will include races on the track, as well as soccer and dodgeball based games. The gymnasium will also be available for informal recreation. Cost for the Family Night is $5 per family (BFR family members and Family Rec Pass holders attend for free).

Richland Manor offers cash prizes for its pie contest winners

Richland Manor, 7400 Swaney Road, invites all pie bakers to enter its April pie baking contest. Three cash prizes will be awards.  Contest pie divisions follow:
• Berry pie
• Cream pie
• Miscellaneous pie

Winners in each division receive a $40 Visa gift card. The contest will take place at 6:30 p.m., Friday, April 18, and is open to the public. Persons wanting to submit pies to be judged must complete and submit an entry form by Saturday, April 12.
