Arliss Dale Plaugher, 84, died Dec. 27, 2019, at Lima Memorial Health System.  He was born Jan. 15, 1935 in Lafayette to the late Odie and Dortha (Kettimon) Plaugher. On Oct. 26, 1956, he married Barbara Hall Plaugher who survives.

Kenneth Zuercher was born in Pandora

Kenneth W. Zuercher, 99, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, at Danbury Woods Assisted Living in Wooster.

He was born April 18, 1920, in Pandora, Ohio, the son of Ernest S. and Ida Kiene Zuercher. He married Betty J. VonGunten on Oct. 23, 1943, and celebrated 71 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on Oct. 31, 2014.

Kenneth graduated from Rawson High School in 1938, and from Findlay College in 1942, where he held basketball scoring records at both schools for many years.

Marcia Lodemeier was a former resident of Bluffton

Former Bluffton resident, Marcia Ann Lodermeier, 70, of Sunbury, Ohio, died on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at the OSU Medical Center.

She was a retired physical therapy assistant having worked at both Lima Memorial and St. Rita’s Hospitals in Lima.

Wayne Shafer was retired from Marathon Oil

He was a WWII Navy veteran

Wayne Dale Shafer, 94 of Bluffton, Ohio, died on Dec. 5, 2019. Wayne was born on June 2, 1925 in Leipsic, Ohio, to the late Orville and Ocie (Herman) Shafer.  He was married to Treva (Marquart) Shafer for 73 years. Wayne worked for Marathon Oil Company in Findlay for 26 years. Wayne and Treva were long-time members of the English Lutheran Church in Bluffton.

Jon "Randy" Mauch 1948 - 2019
