Judith Samson was a Pandora-Gilboa HS graduate

 

Judith Samson, 68, of Placentia, Calif., passed away February 7, 2014.

Judy was born on August 12, 1945 in Pandora, Ohio to Warren and Idella (Gratz) Bridenbaugh.  She graduated from Pandora-Gilboa Schools and Indiana Weslyan.

Judy was a teacher for the Ontario-Montclair school district for over 30 years. In retirement, she volunteered in the community and was an active church member. She is survived by her husband Keith, sons Geoffrey and Joshua, daughter in law Natalie, grandson Colin (all in California) and brothers Dale and Daryl Bridenbaugh (Pandora, Ohio).

Kathryn Fruchey, 92, of Pandora died March 3, 2014 at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.  Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Velma Kingsley memorial service March 8

A memorial service for Velma Kingsley, who died Dec. 20, 2013, will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 8, at First Mennonite Church. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Diane Barnes was retired village clerk of Ft. Shawnee

Diane L. Barnes, 76, of Beaverdam, died February 26, 2014 at her residence. She was born January 28, 1938 in Lima to the late Louis and Lucille Condon Baker.

Diane retired as clerk for the Village of Ft. Shawnee.

Freda Neiswander, 108, was born in Bluffton

 

Freda M. “Fritz” Neiswander, 108, formerly of Adrian, Mich., died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014.
She was born Jan. 4, 1906, in Ada, Ohio, the seventh of 16 children of Alfred and Adele (Grant) Criblez, and was raised on the family farm in Bluffton, Ohio.

She was married to Eugene C. Neiswander for 67 years, and he preceded her in death in 2001.
