Chassity Gallant was a first grade teacher

Chassity Lynn Gallant, 48, of Tallahassee, Florida and formerly of Bluffton passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2021 at her residence. Chassity was born September 16, 1972 in Lima to Michael and Robin (Williams) Romick. On November 11, 1995 she married Dennis Gallant who survives.

Chassity graduated from Bluffton High School and later received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Bluffton College. She was a first grade teacher at Robert F. Munroe Day School in Quincy, Florida. Chassity enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Chassity L. Gallant, 48, passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2021 at her residence in Bainbridge, Georgia.  Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Tracy Hosler was a 1984 Bluffton HS graduate

Tracy D. Hosler, 54, passed away on July 7, 2021, at 6:29 am, at Findlay Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Tracy was born July 11, 1966 in Bluffton, OH, to Diana (Mathewson) Reichenbach and the late Glen Amstutz. She was later adopted by Sam Reichenbach who also survives.

George McCune was in the U.S. Navy

George B. McCune, 92, passed away on July 8, 2021, at 4:09 am, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, surrounded by his loving family, which is also the 26th anniversary of his grandson Cory's passing.

George was born August 31, 1928 in McFadden, WY, to H. Burdett and Geneva (Burkholder) McCune who both preceded him in death. On  June 23, 1950 he married Sara (Bracy) McCune who survives in Bluffton, OH.

Herman Hilty won back-to-back state track titles in the 1940s

Pandora native was a life-long farmer

Herman Gale Hilty, 94, pdied June 29, 2021, at his residence. Herman was born March 6, 1927, in Pandora to the late Harvey and Delilah (Amstutz) Hilty.  On Dec. 26, 1954 he married Myrtle "Gay" Miller Hilty who preceded him in death on Sept. 12, 1996.

Herman was a 1945 graduate of Pandora High School. He won back-to-back state titles and set the state mile record in 1944 and 1945. Herman was chosen to run at the AAU Nationals Track meet in New York City at Randall's Island in 1945 placing seventh. He served in the United States Army in 1955-1956.

Dean Falk retired after 34 years at Ford

Harold Dean Falk, 86, died Friday, June 18, 2021 at The Meadows of Delphos.  Dean was born in Mt. Cory, Ohio, on Nov. 15, 1934, to the late William Donald “Bus” Falk and Edna Rae (Frantz) Falk. He married Carol Mathewson and was later married to Janice Stoddard. 

Dean worked at Lima Ford Engine Plant in Lima for 34 years as an assembly line worker, a foreman, general foreman and finished as a superintendent.  He enjoyed attending his kids and grandkids sporting events, woodworking, collecting/refinishing antiques, boating/fishing on Lake Erie and bird watching.
