Zachary Taylor hopes to pursue sports broadcasting

Zachary Taylor, a Bluffton High School senior, is the December BHS student of the month.
He is a member of the BHS National Honor Society. He along with Mr. Rackley broadcasted the BHS football games on the radio for the past two seasons. Zach is on the BHS soccer team and also plays club soccer. He is a manager for the boys' basketball team and is on a bowling league.
He received the Pirate award in basketball his junior year and in soccer this year. He received an Academic Letter his sophomore and junior year and is on track to receive one his senior year.

Greg Stolly will file his petitions to run for Allen County Commissioner on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the Allen County Board of Elections.
Stolly is a long-time Allen County businessperson, including marketing development and vice president of the University of Northwestern Ohio and Real Living CCR Realtors, realtor.
He has served on the boards of Allen County Convention and Visitor's Bureau, Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center and Lima Central Catholic school board.

Beth Seibert filed her petitions to run for Allen County Commissioner on Monday, Dec. 16, at the Allen County Board of Elections. Former Allen County Commissioner Alberta Lee, is her her campaign chair.
Seibert is Stormwater and Watershed Programs Coordinator for the Allen Soil and Water Conservation District and Program Coordinator for the Ottawa River Coalition.
Owner of Hanson-Neely Funeral Home for nearly 46 years; retirement open house planned Dec. 27

FROM ADA ICON - Bruce Neely, funeral director and owner of Hanson-Neely Funeral Home of Ada and Alger, has announced his retirement after serving the Ada community for nearly 46 years.
A retirement community open house takes place at the funeral home, 311 E. Lima Ave., Ada, from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 27.
“Since serving area communities from January of 1974 it is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement,” he said.
