Four Deuces Car Club
holds Hilty Home Cruise-in

Hilty Home, Pandora, will host a cruise-in from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 30, at the retirement home, 304 Hilty Drive, Pandora.

The event, sponsored by Four Deuces Car Club of Ottawa, is open to hot rods, customs and classic vehicles. Registration and admission is free.

A “Residents’ Choice” award will be presented. For more details call Jane at 419-523-5663.

Wayne Shafer, Harold Agner participate in Honor Flight to D.C.

In early June Hilty Home residents Wayne Shafer and Harold Agner were able to take part in an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., to tour the World War II Memorial, Korean War Memorial and other memorials.

Don Burris, Director of Environmental Services at Hilty Home, served as a Guardian on the trip.

Lunch was served across the street from the World War II Memorial. After the tour ended, the group was welcomed at the Toledo Airport by family and friends and received letters of appreciation.

3.65 inches of rain from June 25-29

The Pandora-Bluffton area experienced 3.65 inches of rain from Thursday, June 25, through Monday, Jun 29, according to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer.

Visitation for Anne Steiner, Pandora, on Thursday

Anne Steiner, 75 of Pandora, died June 28, 2015, surrounded by her family.

She was born April 30, 1940, to Jim and LaVonne Sommer.  She has a brother Jerry (Marge) Sommer of Findlay.

This award comes on the heels of BVH being named among the nation's 100 Top Hospitals in March by Truven Health Analytics, a leading provider of data-driven analytics and solutions to improve the cost and quality of health care.

Michael Sheehan on BFR summer staff

Michael Sheehan, 2013 Bluffton High School graduate, is a member of the Bluffton Family Recreation summer staff.

Sheehan is a certified American College of Science and Medicine (ACSM) personal trainer. He is assisting in several of the BFR summer programs, including providing instruction to members on total body conditioning.

He is pictured at the BFR cable crossover machine, which assists persons interested in working with their muscles.

Sheehan is in this third year at Ohio State University and is a biology pre-med major.
