14 Bluffton school musical groups perform March 27

The Bluffton Music Boosters annual chicken barbecue-shrimp dinner and concert is Friday, March 27, at the Bluffton Middle School.

Fourteen music groups from fourth grade to BHS seniors are on the program from 4 p.m. on. Groups are directed by Alice Basinger, elementary; Rachael Lewis, orchestra; David Sycks, band; and Kara Zink, choir.

Signage, public parking and village entrance improvements are ongoing discussions by Bluffton council this winter and spring.

On Feb. 13 council’s streets, lights, alley and sidewalk committee, consisting of Joe Sehlhorst and Jerry Cupples, reviewed six related subjects. That committee reported on its meeting during the Feb. 24 council meeting.

This beautiful finch, a fixture in the lobby of Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, is a bit camera shy. The bird failed to cooperate with the photographer in this informal portrait attempt, but despite that it can't hide its remarkable  appearance.

Assisted living open house March 12

Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton, will hold an assisted living open house from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, March 12. For more information on the event call Brenda at MMH at 419-731-0080.
