BCE Thursday workshop: Working with college interns

Session includes discussion with university business studies faculty

The Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs (BCE) is holding a brown bag discussion on working with college interns.

The session will be from noon-1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, on the third floor of Bluffton town hall, 154 N. Main St..

Melissa Green and Jason Swartzlander of the Bluffton University Department of Business Studies will lead a discussion about providing internships for college students.

“Student interns can be a valuable part of your team,” said Paula Scott, Executive Director of the BCE, “and we’ll help you prepare to make the most of the opportunity.”

For example, attendees can ask about student skill and interest areas; supervision, training and work locations; work hours per week and per semester; paid vs. unpaid internships; and for credit vs. non-credit internships.

This free event is open to the public. Participants are welcome to bring a lunch and the BCE will provide dessert. RSVP to [email protected] or (567) 525-6667.
