Halloween weekend was full of movies including the 1993 film Hocus Pocus. The movie was released by Walt Disney Pictures on July 16, 1993 and did not recoup the expense to make the movie.  However, it has become a Halloween classic about three witches played by actors Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy who are brought back to present day from Salem, Massachusetts. The movie has developed a following around Halloween and can be seen on several channels including Disney+.

The Bluffton High School boys soccer team had its season ended by a 4-0 semifinal game with Ottawa Hills in the Div. III regionals at Tiffin's Frost-Kalnow Stadium on a chilly Wednesday night, November 3.

The Pirates finished the season 15-4-2. They were ranked ninth in the last Div. III state poll.

Ottawa Hills improved to 13-2-4 with the victory, and the Green Bears advanced to the regional finals Saturday vs. Ottoville. The Big Green beat Kidron Central Christian 1-0 Wednesday night. 

The Bluffton University women's soccer team saw two players earn All-Heartland Conference honors following the 2021 fall campaign. Junior Nina McGinn (Marion/Harding) and sophomore Katelyn Burden (Sidney) were both Honorable Mention selections.

Two Bluffton University seniors have been named Honorable Mention All-Heartland Conference following the fall 2021 campaign. Brooke Kleman (Glandorf/Ottawa-Glandorf) and Cassidy Posey (Paulding) were both honored by the HCAC coaches for their work this season.

All-Heartland Conference honors have been awarded to four members of the Bluffton University men's soccer team, a school record. On Tuesday, Nov. 2, Dalton Taynor (Troy/Miami East) Maxwell Kennedy (Strongsville) and Angel Velasco-Urbina (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) netted 2nd Team honors, while Elijah Zimmerman (Archbold) was an Honorable Mention All-HCAC selection.

Taynor secured his 3rd All-Heartland Conference award. He leads the conference with 2.0 points per game and his 12 goals rank 2nd despite missing the first four conference contests. His 37 shots are 5th in the HCAC.
