 Parade entry invitation for November 30, 2024 Blaze of Lights

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce invites community organizations and businesses to participate in the 2024 Bluffton Blaze of Lights parade on Saturday, November 30.

BLUFFTON – The Bluffton boys soccer team gave up a goal in the final two minutes and lost 2-1 to visiting non-league foe Celina at Steinmetz Field Monday, October 7.

Celina’s Zaden Rolfes scored in the 79th minute to break a 1-1 tie and give the visiting Bulldogs the victory.

The Pirate record dropped to 8-8 overall after the tough loss. Celina improved to 11-4-1 after the last-minute victory.

Celina led 1-0 after a goal in the 37th minute by Carson Staudler.

BLUFFTON – The Bluffton High School boys soccer team was seeded first at the nine-team Tiffin Div. V sectional drawing Sunday, October 6.

Number one seed Bluffton (8-7) will host the winner between six seed Huron (4-9-2) and fifth seed Ashland Crestview (6-7-2) in the quarterfinals Saturday, Oct. 19 at 3 p.m. 

Huron and Crestview tied 1-1 on Sept. 21.

The winner from that quarter of the draw will face the Old Fort (4-10-1)/Mansfield Christian (7-7-1) survivor in the semifinals Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 5 p.m. in Tiffin.

12 noon on Tuesday, October 15, Bluffton Town Hall

Courtnee R. Morris will be the featured speaker at the Bluffton Lions Club meeting on October 15. Morris is the Technology Coordinator for the Bluffton Exempted Village Schools (BEVS) and will speak about Artificial Intelligence.

The meeting will be held on the third floor of Bluffton Town Hall and is open to the public.

Bluffton hosts AE in sectional 1st round

KALIDA - The visiting Bluffton High school girls soccer team won a defensive 1-0 battle at tough non-conference foe Kalida Saturday, October 5.  

The Pirate record improved to 9-4-1 overall after the win. The PCL-leading Wildcat girls dropped to 11-3 with the shutout loss. 

The game was scoreless at halftime and well into the second half.
