“National Assisted Living Week” ended with a “Grand Finale Party” for assisted living residents and resident assistants at Maple Crest, Bluffton.

In keeping with the art theme, each resident and staff person was encouraged to bring along something the person created during any era of his or her life.
The variety of items presented that afternoon was amazing, and the party participants thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to recognize the skills and talents of fellow residents and co-workers.
The Goshen College men's soccer team scored two times in each half en route to a 4-0 shutout of the Beavers on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012. Bluffton fell to 2-4 while the Maple Leafs upped their season mark to 4-3.
The next Maple Crest Senior Living, Bluffton, Sunday buffet is Sept. 23, according to Daren Lee, director of Maple Crest.
The menu includes:
• Pepper Jack chicken
• Ham loaf
• Baked sweet potato
• Scalloped corn
• Dinner roll
• Bread pudding
• coffee and iced tea.
The buffet is in the Patio Room at Maple Crest from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is open to all adults 55 and older at a cost of $5 per person. Due to the overwhelming response, reservations are required for those planning to attend. Limited seating is available.
Allen County Children Services has been awarded funding for two adoption
recruitment specialists from Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Program. WWK is a
signature program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
The foundation awards grants to public and private adoption agencies to hire adoption
professionals who implement proactive, child focused recruitment programs
targeted exclusively on moving the longest waiting children from foster care
into adoptive families.
