Here is a photograph of students who attended the Elm Center country school in 1916-17.
This school was located between Bluffton and Pandora. Today it would be in the Pandora-Gilboa school district. When this photo was taken each of the students spoke Swiss dialect at home, and English in school.
The teacher is Millen Geiger.

Andy Althaus has been named chief financial officer for Citizens National Bank.
In this role Althaus is responsible for oversight of internal and external financial reporting for the bank, as well as the holding company, Citizens Bancshares.
Chief duties include assisting the chief executive officer and president with strategic decisions including developing programs to assist with growth, participating in bank budgeting, and forecasting the bank’s financial position.
Susan Lynne Wagner, 62, died June 4, 2021, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. Susan was born Dec. 31, 1958, in Columbus to Kenneth "Jim" and Rebecca "Becky" (Jones) Faze. On Oct. 1, 1988 she married David Wagner who survives.
