John Warren was Bluffton John Deer Implement dealer for 25 years

John T. Warren, 81, of Bluffton died Jan. 30, 2013, at his residence. He was born June 25, 1931, in Bluffton to the late Clyde and Eulalia (McCormick) Warren. He married Roberta Klingler and she preceded him in death Jan. 3, 1975. 

Mr. Warren was a John Deere Implement dealer for 25 years in Bluffton and later Kenton. The Bluffton dealership was located on South Main Street on a property, which today is part of Citizens National Bank.

February is for celebrating Bluffton Public Library with free activities and treats for all

February is Library Lovers' Month, a month for celebrating how wonderful to have a thing that is a library.  

Bluffton Public Library is teaming up with several Bluffton businesses and the Friends of the Library to celebrate.

The library has crafted several different ways patrons can celebrate the library.

The week includes:

Every afternoon a different treat!

Feb. 11-15, visitors to the library can indulge in free refreshments from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Ruth Grismore worked at Triplett Corp.

Ruth Grismore, 92 died January 29, 2013 at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. 

She was born July 18, 1920 in Columbus Grove to the late Oliver and Elsie (Strunk) Beam. 

On March 8, 1941 she married Maurice L. Grismore.  They lived in Pandora for many years.  He died May 27, 1985 after 44 years of marriage. 

Ruth had worked at Triplett Corporation, Bluffton for many years.  She was a member of the Pandora Missionary Church

Norovirus and Flu Season in Full Swing: Tips to help you avoid getting the flu

The Allen County Health Department reminds residents that we are in the midst of the influenza season in our area. 

This is also the time of the year that Norovirus, the virus that frequently causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps is reported in this area of the United States. 

These illnesses are seen in all age groups but increased rates typically occur in children.  
“It is common to see an increase in illness during this time of the year,” said Kathy Luhn, Allen County Health Commissioner.

Maple Crest Senior Living Village will host a soup cook-off from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, and the public is invited, according to Daren Lee of Maple Crest.
