Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre holiday performance Dec. 1

Rhythm in Motion Dance Center, Ada, will perform in its annual Christmas Magic  Jingle and Rock 2012 holiday dance performance at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, at Lima Senior High School Auditorium.

 

Several of the students in the performance are from Bluffton. Rhythm in Motion is a Bluffton icon advertiser.

All seats are reserved. Tickets are $10 presale or $12 at the door. Contact Darcey Schneider, 419-236-7651 for tickets.

Mount St. Joseph hands Bluffton 56-54 loss in Sommer Center

On Wednesday, Nov. 28, the Bluffton University men’s basketball team fell to the College of Mount St. Joseph in their first HCAC contest of the season. The Beavers dipped to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the HCAC, while MSJ improved to 2-2 and 1-0 in the HCAC.

The Lions came out strong and took an early lead just over three minutes into the game, going up by five (7-2) following a Joel Scudder triple. Half a minute later the Beavers trimmed the deficit to three with a layup from junior Will Pope (Somerville/Preble Shawnee).

Dec. 14 Maple Crest Barberettes concert open to public

Bluffton’s Barberettes will be presenting a Christmas program at four area senior living facilities in December.

Here's the schedule:

Dec. 3 – Richland Manor
Dec. 7 -  Hilty Home
Dec. 10 – Mennonite Memorial Home
Dec. 14 – Maple Crest.

All concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. and the public is invited to the Maple Crest program on Dec. 14. It takes place in the Patio Room.

"Rise of the Guardians" shown at Shannon Nov 30 - Dec 6

Peter Suter of Shannon Theatre announced that "Rise of the Guardians" (PG) and will be shown at the theatre from November 30 - December 6.

Show times are every evening at 7:00 and 9:30 PM with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 1:30 and 4:00 PM. All shows are 2D.

Holiday strings

Racheal Lewis directs the Bluffton middle school strings during one of their three performances on Wednesday. This performance was at the Mennonite Memorial Home. They also performed twice in Lima. Click for a video.
