Bluffton University will host the Holiday Collage Concert at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, in Yoder Recital Hall followed by a new Christmas tradition at the Houshower House.

Become wrapped in the sounds of the season when Bluffton’s Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, University Chorale and Camerata Singers come together to celebrate Christmas.

The family of Alex McClelland will share “Reaching Out: A Young Man’s Story of Faith, Courage and Commitment” on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Bluffton University. The presentation will take place twice, from 4-5:30 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m. in Yoder Recital Hall.,

Alex was a student at Bluffton University and a member of the Beaver football team during the 2007-08 season when he experienced pain on his sacrum bone. The pain increased with time, and in April of 2008 he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. He died from cancer in the summer of 2009.

 The Bluffton University men's basketball team knocked off Hiram College 76-62 in the home opener with four Beavers notching double digits on Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Although Bluffton trailed 41-33 at the half, the Beavers used a convincing 43-21 edge in the final period to knock off the Terriers for their second win (2-1) of the season.

For the second straight year, Erin Weisgarber (Tuscarawas Valley) has earned Google Cloud Academic All-District honors for her work on and off the court. 

Weisgarber was a First Team Academic All-America selection in 2017, the second Bluffton volleyball player (Jenna Eshleman - 2011) to earn that distinguished recognition. She was one of just two volleyball players from the HCAC to earn Google Cloud Academic All-District honors.

Dr. Nate Regier, CEO and founding owner of Next Element, will speak during Bluffton University’s Forum at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, in Yoder Recital Hall. The title of his presentation is “Conflict Without Casualties: Compassionate Accountability and the Art of Struggling With.”

During the presentation, the best-selling author will show through humorous anecdotes and compelling stories how to reframe our relationship with conflict and us it as an energy source for positive change.

Two members of the Bluffton University men's soccer team have been named Honorable Mention All-Heartland Conference following the 2018 season. Sophomore Timothy Murphy (Chesterfield, Twp., MI/L'Anse Creuse) and freshman Dalton Taynor(Troy/Miami East) were honored for their work on the pitch.

Tim Murphy buried a penalty kick for his first collegiate goal at Wittenberg on September 7. He has started 32 matches over the past two seasons with 15 shots, including 13 this year. It marks the second straight All-Heartland Conference honor for Murphy
