Joyce Conrad was a 1966 Bluffton HS graduate

Joyce Anne Conrad, 72 of Columbus Grove, died April 30, 2021, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, surrounded by her family.  Joyce was born Sept. 21, 1948, in Bluffton to the late Francis and Dorothy (Augsburger) Williams. On Aug. 25, 1972, she married Ronald Conrad who preceded her in death in 2011.

Joyce graduated from Bluffton High School in 1966 and was a homemaker. She was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church and she enjoyed gardening, flowers and feeding the birds. Joyce was very involved with the Tuesday Lunch Bunch from church.

Bluffton boys third at Liberty Benton Invite

FINDLAY - The Bluffton boys track and field team finished a strong third at the 16-team Pat Wagner Liberty Benton Invitational Saturday.

Columbus Grove won the boys team title with 144.5 points, followed by host L-B (108.5) and Bluffton (68).

Senior Jon Schriner won the 400 meter dash to post the top Bluffton finish.

L-B captured the girls team crown with 146.5 points. The Pirate girls came in 11th with 23 points.

Rematch vs. Leipsic

Bluffton softball seeded 9th in sectional draw

BLUFFTON - The Bluffton girls softball team was seeded ninth at the 13-team Elida Div. IV district tournament drawing Sunday.

Ninth seed Bluffton (4-11) plays at sixth seed Leipsic (7-7) Monday, May 10 in first round action. 

The Pirate girls beat the Vikings 5-1 April 30 but were ranked lower due to a lesser record. The winner will then play at second-seeded Lima Central Catholic Thursday, May 13.

Bluffton voters polling location moved to The Centre

For Tuesday's Ohio primary election

Bluffton and Richland Township voters have one issue on the Tuesday, May 4, primary ballot.

The issue is a renewal tax levy for Allen County Children Services. The renewal is a 0.5 mill levy and covers a five-year period beginning this year.

Village of Bluffton voters have a new voting location, which is The Centre at 601 N. Main St. Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
