Is Bluffton the teddy bear capital of Ohio?

Our census report is up to 80 bears and other stuffed animals in local windows • Check out the Icon's Teddy Bear Hunt map

Send the Icon your teddy bear address
We also welcome photos!

Just remember, it’s a work in progress.

Posting bear sightings on the Bluffton Icon’s teddy bear hunt map reminds us of an airport. Think, O’Hare in Chicago. We seem to learn of a new bear in a window about every other minute.

Last week when the Icon asked Bluffton residents to provide addresses of teddy bears in windows, well, we figured a couple dozen, tops.

Not so.

Through the window

Addie Kiene, special education teacher at Bluffton Hgih School visits with one of her students, Andrew Raeburn, at his home through the window to catch up and play his favorite educational game: Countdown. "We had such a great time and hope to get back in the classroom as it is safe to do so," she said. The Icon will post photos of students learning in an at-home setting. Send photos, art work, writing assignments and class projects to: [email protected].

Busted: Fraudulent COVIS-19 tests and treatments

This story is provided by the ONU HealthWise Pharmacy.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers about fraudulent coronavirus tests, vaccines and treatments.

Currently, there are no vaccines to prevent COVID-19 or medications approved to treat COVID-19, according to the FDA.

Still, fraudulent products are claiming to cure, treat or prevent COVID-19. These products have not been shown to be safe or effective, the FDA noted. In fact, these fraudulent products may actually pose significant risks to you and your family.
