FDA approves Qwo (collagenase clostridium histolyticum-aaes) for cellulite

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the first injectable medication for cellulite.
This medication is called Qwo (collagenase clostridium histolyticum-aaes). The FDA approved it to treat adult women with moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks.
Qwo comes in the form of an injection and is given under the skin (subcutaneously) of each buttock by your health care provider.

Pandora native Richard Basinger, died Sept. 4, 2020, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
He was born in Pandora, Ohio, on July 15, 1927. He worked in his mother, Jeannette Sutter, and father, Ralph Basinger’s greenhouse and florist before he graduating from Pandora High School in 1946.
He joined the U.S. Army Air Force, which then became the U.S. Air Force, and served for over 30 years as a flight engineer in the U.S. Navy Air Reserve.
This program was extended to all schools as a response to economic concerns brought on for many families by the COVID-19 pandemic

Starting Monday, Sept. 14, , Bluffton Schools will participate in the federal meal program that will temporarily offer free breakfast and lunch to all students, according to Greg Denecker, Bluffton superintendent.
"This program is expected to run through the end of the calendar year, Dec. 31, 2020," he said.

Jodi Brauen of the school cafeteria staff hands out two Friday lunches to go to two Bluffton students. On Fridays, Bluffton school is online, however lunches are available for students who order them in advance.

Members of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera, will observe the annual Shipwreck Remembrance on Sunday, Sept. 13.
The services, at 8 and 10:30 a.m. will give praise to the Lord for saving the lives of passengers on the “Famous Dove” when it was shipwrecked off the east coast of the United States on Sept. 17, 1831.
Many of the passengers coming from Germany were the founders of Trinity. During a terrible storm, the passengers prayed and sang hymns. The next morning, they saw that they were just off the coast of Virginia.

This year’s Ride to Remember, with all its covid restrictions, was a success, according to Ron Heading, who chaired the July 11 event.
Headings reports that 127 riders signed up for the virtual ride. Net proceeds are close to $3,200 with those funds designated to the Bluffton pathway project.
Members of this year’s Ride planning committee in addition to Headings were Ryan Lowry, Bob Stahl, Clair Winebar, Dick McGarrity, John Rich and Dick Ramseyer.
