Bluffton school concerts on Dec. 7 and 14

Two Monday evening holiday concerts and one Monday afternoon concert are planned in December by Bluffton school musical groups. The evening concerts are held in the middle school cafetorium. The elementary afternoon concert is held in the new BHS gym.

The concert schedule follows:

Monday, Dec. 7:
6 p.m. - Middle school choir
7:30 p.m. - Middle school band/strings

Breanne Hamilton: student of the month

Breanne Hamilton student of the month

Breanna Hamilton, 18, and a senior at Bluffton High School, is the BHS November student of the month.

She carries a 4.0 grade point average, is active in Math Club, the Math Team, Art Club, Latin Club, SADD and is on the Renaissance Committee. As a junior she was class president.

November 2009 was warmer than normal

If you thought November was warmer than normal, you are correct. According to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer, the average November temperature was 44.9 degrees last month. The normal November temperature is 40.4 degrees.

November's high temperature was 71degrees on Nov. 8. The low was 24 on Nov. 8. Following are the highs, lows and precipitation for the final week of November.

The hottest new drug in town

Last night, while finishing up the commercial cleaning account, we decided that pancakes and bacon sounded good for dinner. Sometimes we like breakfast at the end of the day. Mixes things up a little! A. asked if we had everything we needed and I did a quick rundown in my head. The only thing we were short on was maple syrup.
