Meet Kori Bernal, Bluffton's new elementary school principal

Kori Bernal was born and raised in Fostoria and–until now–has worked her whole career there, too. But in May 2024 she was chosen by the Bluffton Exempted Village Schools to be the new Elementary School principal beginning fall 2024.

Fundraiser for Bluffton Community Dog Park on May 29

From 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, a Yappy Hour fundraiser will be held on Vine Street to benefit the Bluffton Community Dog Park to be built on Lake St. The event includes: Beachwear Dog Costume Contest, Prizes, Food trucks, Photo booth, Raffle baskets, Live music. 3 Pirates, relay place 4th at regional track meet

FOSTORIA __ Several Bluffton athletes competed in the Div. III regional track and field meet at Fostoria Wednesday and Friday.

Three Pirate individuals and a boys relay team finished fourth in their events to post the top Bluffton showings and qualify for the OHSAA state tournament.

Senior Theo Andreas crossed the line fourth in the 3200-meter run.

Junior sprinter Griffin Stackhouse took fourth in the 200-meter dash.

Freshman Nora Matthews captured fourth in the girls 800-meter run. 

The Bluffton boys 4x100 relay quartet also came in fourth place.

The Div. III state meet is May 30-June 1 at Dayton’s Welcome Stadium.
