Men's basketball: It's Bluffton over Heidelberg 68-56

The Bluffton University men's basketball team played host to Heidelberg University on Saturday, Nov. 23, in a non-conference matchup. The Beavers controlled the game from the get go, only allowing Heidelberg to take the lead once in a 68-56 victory for the good guys. Bluffton improved to 2-2 overall, while Heidelberg fell to 1-3 on the season.

Bluffton women 3-0 after OT win at Oberlin

The Bluffton University women's basketball team traveled to Oberlin College on Saturday, Nov. 23, for an early afternoon matchup. The Beavers secured a tight 87-85 victory over the Yeowomen in overtime. The women kept their undefeated streak alive at 3-0 following the victory.

Riley Creek Pharmacy has special donation planned on Saturday

Riley Creek Pharmacy, 112 E. Main St., Pandora, has a special storewide donation project planned for Saturday, Nov. 30.

On Nov. 30, the store will donate 5% of its gift sales to Lifewise Academy Pandora-Gilboa (Donation applies to front end sales on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 only.)

Arlington wins annual McDonald's tip-off tourney

Opening game vs. Cory-Rawson

BLUFFTON - The host Bluffton girl basketball team tipped off its season with a 37-30 loss to local rival Cory-Rawson in the semifinals of the annual McDonald's Holiday Tournament Friday night.

Bluffton will take on backyard league rival Allen East in the consolation game Saturday night at 6 p.m. Arlington will face Cory-Rawson in the championship game following the third-place contest.

“Guilt, Anger and Challenges”

“Living Through Loss” Series at Blanchard Valley Hospital Dec. 16

Bridge Bereavement Services, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, will host its December presentation of the “Living through Loss” series on Monday, Dec. 16, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. 

This presentation, “Guilt, Anger and Challenges” takes place in Marathon Auditorium at Blanchard Valley Hospital, 1900 S. Main St. Findlay. Light refreshments will be provided.

“Guilt, Anger and Challenges” will discuss the range of emotions individuals may feel after the loss of a loved one, particularly guilt and anger.
