University has Study Buddies in Ohio, New York, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin

Program allows Bluffton educator preparation majors to obtain student teaching and field experience hours while providing a service to the wider community

Study Buddies are available from 9 a.m. to noon on weekdays at www.bluffton.edu/studybuddies.

Families are encouraged to use this resource for homework help and educational enrichment.

When schools closed their doors in Endwell, New York, in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, Michelle (Nakoneczny ’99) Arron was concerned about keeping her sons engaged in learning.

Then she logged onto Facebook and saw a post from her alma mater, Bluffton University.

Read me a story, please

Many family pets are learning new tricks this spring, including hearing some interesting stories read aloud to them. Maggie Ellerbrock reads to her dog, Maverick. Maggie is a Bluffton second grader in Mrs. Liechty's class. The Icon will post photos of students learning in an at-home setting. Mandated No-Contact period extended through May 1

News from the Ohio High School Athletic Association indicates that it is possible that spring high school sports may extend into June and July. Here is a news release from OHSAA concerning spring sports as it stands today, April 2.

Bluffton senior says unique experiences shape her education

Lydia Lugibihl from Pandora is a food and nutrition major

Lydia Lugibihl, a senior food and nutrition major with a concentration in business, utilized her minors in marketing and business administration to enhance her experience at Bluffton University. 

The Pandora native spent the spring 2019 semester in Washington, D.C., at the Washington Community Scholars’ Center (WCSC), and this fall she joined the student leadership team of the Bluffton Bread Company. 

Trout derby moves to June 7

Tom Augsburger, Bluffton Sportsman's Club president,  has announced that this year's trout derby will move to Sunday, June 7.

The cause is two-fold: the recent flooding of the Buckey and the COVID-19 virus.
