Section of State Route 12 will close May 4

State Route 12 between Township Road 4 and County Road 5, just east of the village of Pandora, will close on May 4 for approximately four days. Work will be performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

Orange: our new color

Interstate 75 between Napoleon Road and State Route 235 are in the midst of lane restrictions and ramp closures for paving and reconstruction. I-75 southbound entrance ramp from SR 696 will close on April 27, for five days. Traffic pattern through the SR 696 interchange will change as an I-75 southbound will shift one lane onto the northbound side beginning April 27. Lane restrictions will occur between Napoleon Road and SR 235, the full length of the project, beginning May 4. I-75 northbound entrance ramp from SR 103 will close on May 3, for two weeks.

Blanchard and Sandusky River Watersheds announce photo contest

The Blanchard and Sandusky River Watersheds announce a photo contest open to residents and amateur photographers in the watersheds.

The contest runs now through June 30 and provides awards of first, second and third place, best of show and people’s choice. Categories are:
• River/water
• Landscapes
• Plants
• Wildlife
• River recreation

What a different 1 week makes

This split-screen view of a the same red bush shows the difference one week makes in Ohio's spring. On April 17 was a freak snowfall, which seemed to disappear overnight.
