4th-5th-6th grade basketball leagues forming at BFR

Bluffton Family Recreation is accepting teams for winter grade school youth basketball leagues, according to Joseph Beagle, BFR director.

Leagues offers are:
5th grade boys’ competitive league – Dec. 20 to Feb. 21
6th grade boys’ competitive league –Dec. 20 to Feb. 21

4th grade boys developmental league – Jan. 9 to Feb. 13
4th grade girls’ developmental league – Jan. 9 to Feb. 13

BFR offers December performance-training for youth

Bluffton Family Recreation offers two performance-training programs of eight sessions each in December lead by Jared Krout, BFR sports coordinator.

A Developmental Program, for youth ages 12 to 14, offers an introduction to performance training and adds a sport-specific component. Sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Dec. 1 to Dec. 24.

Bluffton Family Recreation, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton, announces its Thanksgiving week hours of operation, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

Monday, Nov. 23 – 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 24 – 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 25 – 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
     (no evening open gym)
Thursday, Nov. 26 – Closed
Friday, Nov. 27 – 1 to 7 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 28 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 29 – 1 to 7 p.m.
