Gym class was never this fun when we were in elementary school. Here's Bluffton fifth graders in action during a physical education class this week.

Elida, Ottoville and Glandorf teams win at BFR boys bball tourney

 

Twenty-seven teams from northwest Ohio gathered in Bluffton for the nineteenth annual BFR boy’s basketball tournament on March 1-2. Thirteen 4th grade teams, seven 5th grade teams and seven 6th grade teams competed to win their respective divisions.

Friday/Saturday dinner features at Mustard Seed Cafe

Mustard Seed Café, 562 N. Main Street, Bluffton, is open 5-8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings with a full menu which includes 7 appetizers, 8 main course items, soups, salads and house-baked desserts.   Beer and beer cocktails are available.

Fireworks returns to Bluffton in 2014. First National Bank and Springfield Fireworks, co-sponsors of the event, offer a matching challenge to the communtiy to help pay for the $8,000 project. The two co-sponsors will put up $4,000 of the cost if the community comes foward with matching funds. Click here to learn how to donate.

Donors invited to support 2014 fireworks; enter the contest to name the event

Fireworks returns to Bluffton in 2014. Co-sponsored by First National Bank and Springfield Fireworks, a production of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, the event is Saturday, June 28, on the Bluffton University athletic complex.

First National Bank and Springfield Fireworks have a challenge match to the community. The two businesses will match up to $4,000 of community donations made to the fireworks fund.

Come and get it! The soup's on at Maple Crest's soup cook-off March 6

After a one-month weather delay the soup is back in the kitchen.

Maple Crest Senior Living Village, 700 Maple Crest Ct., off Augsburger Road, Bluffton, will host a soup cook-off from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 6. It as originally set for Feb. 6, but was delayed due to bad weather.
