Looking out for Christmas

Looking out for Christmas

Main Street takes on a "holiday light look" as seen from the inside of The Food Store's front door.

Christmas from a second grader perspective

The Icon asked second graders in Bev Stockman's class what they think of when then think of Christmas. Here are their responses.

We have a lot of stuff to do in my house for Christmas. I love to see all kinds of things. I like to see the tree sparkle. I like to hear lots of bells. I like to smell pies and cakes. I like to taste cookies and strawberries. I like it feel snow and Santa's beard. I know Santa and I'll get presents. Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.

Here's who performs when in Monday's elementary all-school Christmas concert

We've had to wait one week because of a school day cancellation due to snow. But, the all-elementary school Christmas concert is back on the calendar.

It is at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 20, in the Bluffton High School gym. Alice Basinger, elementary music teacher, provided the Icon with the concert schedule which follows. It may also be printed from the attachment at the bottom of this story.
