OHSAA to expand football playoffs and adjust regional format

Ohio High School Athletic Association Board of Directors approved the 2021 football tournament regulations Thursday during its April Board meeting that included proposals from the OHSAA staff to increase the number of playoff qualifiers and change the format of the regional playoffs.

This column follows Anna Amstutz, born in Switzerland to Michael Amstutz and Barbara Lehman Amstutz.

Her first husband, Christian Neuenschwander, died at an early age. Anna’s second husband, Johannes Suter, also died at an early age. Anna’s third husband was David C. Luginbuhl. David was married twice before he married Anna.

Anna died at age 41 on April 10, 1858.

Bluffton elementary school’s spring book fair is virtual this month. The fair begins on Monday, April 26, and continues through Sunday, May 9.

University program provides summer reading endorsement pathway

The 4 mandatory classes will be offered during the months of June and July

Teachers seeking to advance their careers can fast-track their plans by enrolling in Bluffton University’s summer reading endorsement program.

Licensed teachers, who took a phonics class during their undergraduate studies, can add the reading endorsement to their teaching license by taking as few as four classes from Bluffton University during the summer of 2021.

The four mandatory classes will be offered during the months of June and July. The first set of online classes will take place from June 7-July 2 and the second set from July 5-31.
