Community Assistance Program accepting cash donations

Due to the COVID-19 virus, in April and May, the Community Assistance Program is using Community Market gift cards to give to its clients rather than opening the food pantry for monthly distribution.

Monetary donations to support the purchase of gift cards may be sent to:

Richland trustees cancel annual clean-up

The Richland Township trustees announced that the 2020 township annual clean-up scheduled for April 18 is cancelled due to COVID19.

Here's the recent births from Bluffton Hospital

The following births are reported from Bluffton Hospital since Feb. 29 and all of March.

Feb. 29 – Colt Camden Wilkins, son of Eric and Jenna Wilkins, Rawson

Roe Lansing owned Lansing Brothers Construction, Ada

Roe N. Lansing,  97, died on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 5 p.m. at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

He was born on June 2, 1922, in Big Springs, Ohio, to the late Charles O. and Dora Mae (O’Brien) Lansing. On Aug. 16, 1941, Roe married Alice E. Simon and she preceded him in death.

The Dough Hook now offers curbside service

Call in your order and pick it up at the curb

The Dough Hook, 117 N. Main St., Bluffton, continues to serve customers and now offers curbside pickup and local delivery with orders of $20 or more. The lobby is closed to walk-in customers.

It will work like this:
•Call 419-369-4264 to order what you want. It can even be for a cookie or a donut all the way to a year’s worth of meat. 

• We will give you a time frame of when your order will be completed.

• Park outside our door and give us a call to let us know you’re there.
