Hadassah Rain Seidner May 29, 2020

Hadassah Rain Seidner died at her birth on May 29, 2020.  Born at 38 weeks she was 6 lb.1 oz. and 18.5 inches long. She was greatly loved by her parents, Nathan and Christina Seidner, her 4 siblings, Hezekiah, Gideon, Thaddeus, and Jael, and her 4 grandparents, Gary and Elaine Seidner and Stanley and Tess Spencer, along with many other family and friends.

Catherine Bish was a retired registered nurse

Catherine M. Bish, 94, died May 31, 2020 at her residence in Leipsic. Catherine was born June 16, 1925 in Portage, Ohio, to the late Glenn and Abby (Sievertson) Woods. On June 16, 1951, she married Marlowe Bish who preceded her in death on July 3, 1993.

Bluffton Hospital cardiopulmonary receives additional 3 year accreditation

From Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC)

Bluffton Hospital cardiopulmonary department has received an additional three-year term of accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in Echocardiography in the area of Adult Transthoracic.

This accreditation demonstrates the hospital’s ongoing commitment to providing quality patient care in echocardiography.

Echocardiography, or echo, is used to assess different areas of the heart and can detect heart disease or signs of serious conditions.

It carries all the pomp and circumstance of any graduation ceremony, but it is one of a kind in the 139-year history of Bluffton High School commencements.

The Bluffton High School commencement tradition is the longest-standing annual event in our community. It didn’t take place this year, or did it? The answer is both yes and no. 

The live, audience commencement was tabled. However, the school put together a video of what it would have  looked like, had it actually taken place.
