Want to be a fairy princess? Then join the party

What's up in Bluffton in June? Here's part of our continuing series of June events happening in Bluffton.

The Bluffton Hospital Auxiliary is hosting a Fairy Princess Party on Saturday, June 4 at the Bluffton Middle School Cafetorium from 10 a.m. to noon.

The event will include a finger food buffet, face painting, nail art, hair styling, crafts, photos with princesses and door prizes. Costumes are encouraged.

BHS grad Hannah Chappell-Dick heading for DIII national meet - again

Bluffton High School graduate Hannah Chappell-Dick has earned one final trip to NCAA Division III track and national meet,qualifying for next weekend's final meet in the 1500m.

A four-time All-American, Chappell-Dick is seeded No. 5 in the 1500m with her time of 4:28.62. She is a student at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va.

Sometimes more than just the street gets painted during senior paint night. For example, Nicole Edelbrock was the most painted senior during the event. Here Lauren Bish adds more than a dab of color to Nicole, who is headed to BGSU next fall.

Bluffton American Legion announces Memorial Day plans

A tradition, which dates back more than 150 years, continues to bring veterans and families together in Bluffton. The tradition: decorating the graves of America’s war veterans, known now as Memorial Day.

The members of Bluffton American Legion Post #382  invite Bluffton residents to join in this year's event, Monday, May 30.

A Memorial Day parade will start from the Bluffton town hall. To be in the parade be at the town hall by 9:15 a.m. The parade will start at 9:30 a.m.
