BHS grad Hannah Chappell-Dick heading for DIII national meet - again
Bluffton High School graduate Hannah Chappell-Dick has earned one final trip to NCAA Division III track and national meet,qualifying for next weekend's final meet in the 1500m.
A four-time All-American, Chappell-Dick is seeded No. 5 in the 1500m with her time of 4:28.62. She is a student at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va.
She already owns three All-American finishes in her track career, taking silver in the indoor mile in 2015 and 2016, while also crossing third in the 1500m at the indoor meet last spring. Chappell-Dick was 17th at the national cross country meet this past fall.
Including all three sports, this is her seventh overall trip to a national meet. She is also 12th nationally in the 800m at 2:10.26, but elected to only run in the 1500m.
The 2016 NCAA Outdoor National Championships are this coming Thursday through Saturday in Waverly, Iowa, hosted by Wartburg College.
