Cheryl A. Miller, 71, died March 8, 2021, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. Cheryl was born Aug. 14, 1949, in Bluffton to the late David and Bernice (Scott) Slane. On June 30, 1968, she married Dale A. Miller and he survives.
Cheryl graduated from Lafayette-Jackson High School, obtained her associate's degree from Owens Technical College and a bachelor's degree from the University of Findlay.
Interstate 75 southbound, through the work zone at the village of Beaverdam, will have lane restrictions Wednesday, March 10, 7 a.m. to noon, for work in the median to seed and mulch.
This is part of an on-going I-75 resurfacing and reconstruction project on Interstate 75 between Napoleon Road and State Route 235, just south of the village of Beaverdam to three miles north of the village of Bluffton through Summer 2021.
Men’s soccer
The Bluffton University men's soccer team battled conference heavyweight Rose-Hulman on a chilly Saturday, March 6, at Salzman Stadium. Kelly Takezo found the back of the net at the 3:50 mark and the Engineers held off Bluffton for a 1-0 victory. The Engineers stayed perfect at 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the Heartland Conference, while Bluffton fell to 0-2 and 0-2 in the HCAC with its second straight 1-0 heartbreaker.
Local residents will be out on the streets of Bluffton on 3-8-21 at 3:30 p.m. to raise awareness for the Ohio Healthcare Plan (Act) that Ohio Legislator Mike Skindell is co – sponsoring.

Finishes 2nd in the 160 class at Division III Rossford district

ROSSFORD - Five Bluffton varsity wrestlers competed in the Div. III district meet Saturday and Sunday at Rossford High School, with one advancing to the state tournament.
Pirate junior Kaden Basil finished second in the 160 lbs. division to qualify for the Div. III state tournament to be hosted by Marion Harding High School March 13-14.
Basil went 2-0 Saturday with a pair of pins in the 160 lbs. class to reach the semifinals.
