R Coop open on Friday and Saturday

From Bluffton it's on the way to Suter's Cider Press

R Coop, 2168 Road R, Bluffton, will be open again Friday from 10 a.m.to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to Jane Shaw.

Girls' soccer: Bluffton knocks off tough Liberty Benton 3-2

Sarah Theisen scores three times for Pirates

The Lady Pirate soccer team hosted rival Liberty Benton in a non-conference game at Steinmetz Field Tuesday evening.

The Eagles landed the first goal 22 minutes into the first half, and the Pirates responded 5 minutes later when Senior Sarah Theisen hit the back of the net with her first of 3 goals for the night. Half time score was 1-1. 

Six minutes into the second half, Theisen had a breakaway pulling the LB goalie way out of the net, and Theisen shot it right past her for her second goal. 

LB responded 10 minutes later, tying the score at 2-2.

Volleyball swats rival Jackets in straight sets

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Beaver volleyball team improved to 14-7 overall and 2-0 in the Heartland Conference as they traveled to the Weaner Center and swept the rival Yellow Jackets on Wednesday, Oct. 5. Defiance suffered its first HCAC loss, dropping to 5-10 and 1-1 in league play. Bluffton's sweep of Defiance puts them one match away from 900 program wins!

Pandora UM holding community meal October 26

The Pandora United Methodist Church will be hosting a free community meal on Wednesday, Oct. 26,  from 5:30-7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora. The meal will be provided by Never Ending Witnesses Small Group. The menu includes a pulled pork sandwich, potato chips, cookies, and drink.

Defiance downs Men's Soccer 3-1

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men's soccer team welcomed Defiance College to the Sears Complex for a 3:30 matchup on Wednesday, Oct. 5. The two rivals combined for four tallies in the first 35 minutes and the Yellow Jackets made their 3-1 halftime edge stand up as Defiance improved to 4-5-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the Heartland Conference. Bluffton dipped to 3-8 and 0-2 in the HCAC.
