Retiring chamber director's talk: How to succeed in Bluffton by really trying
“How to succeed in Bluffton by really trying,” is a presentation that Fred Steiner, retiring director of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, will give during the Friday, May 13, chamber breakfast.
The breakfast, open to the public, is in the third floor of the Bluffton town hall. The Dough Hook will cater the breakfast. Breakfast is served from 7 to 7:30 a.m. The program is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
Steiner served as chamber director for the past eight years. His replacement will be introduced at the breakfast and chamber board members will lead the meeting, according to Phil Zimmerly, chamber board president.
Steiner will provide observations on what he believes chamber members and the community’s role is in working together to continue to make the community succeed.
“I hope my presentation will make people think, act, develop ideas and talk about Bluffton’s future,” he said. “I also hope it will allow us to look critically as our weakness and develop some solutions to those weakness.”
While retiring as chamber director, he will continue as director of the Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs and as owner of the Bluffton Icon and Ada Icons.
He is also a board member of the Bluffton Community Assistance Program, R.L. and Etta Triplett Memorial Foundation and Bluffton Pathway-Bikeway Committee.
