James “Jim” R. Steiner worked for Ford Motor Company

James “Jim” R. Steiner, 76, passed away April 24, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center.
Jim was born December 8, 1947 in Bluffton, to Woodrow and Betty (Clymer) Steiner who preceded him in death. On November 14, 1981 he married Linda Dunlap Steiner who survives.
Jim was a 1967 graduate of Bluffton High School and was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ. He dedicated 35 years to the Ford Motor Company of Lima and also worked for Marathon Oil Company for five years. He was a member of United Auto Workers. He enjoyed woodworking, martial arts, cars, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Steiner of Pandora; five children, Steve (Janette) Steiner of Lima, Thomas (Anne) Downey of Bluffton, Jesse (Christa) Steiner of Springfield, OH, Amy (Scott) Karhoff of Rawson, Carrie (Jared) Reichenbach of Bluffton; ten grandchildren, Abigail Gwin of Pandora, Casey (Jacob) Houtz of Findlay, Erin Steiner of Dayton, Mattie Steiner of Springfield, Jenna Downey of Bluffton, Mitchell (Morgan) Karhoff of Nevada, OH, Michael (Cecelia Tresick) Karhoff of New Baltimore, MI, McKenzie Karhoff of Rawson, Ashley Augsburger of Bowling Green, Levi Augsburger of Ada; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Beery, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five siblings, Joseph Steiner, Richard Reichenbach, Sarah Murphy, John Steiner, and Judy Steiner.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services of Bluffton. Rev. Jeremy Mann to officiate the service. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 30, 2024, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm the funeral home.
