Need a huge flat screen?

Need a huge flat screen television? This is just of the bargain items available at the Bluffton recycling center on Spring Street. There's also what appears to be a hot tub, child's bike, and an assortment of items to numerous to mention. This week is Bluffton clean-up week and continues until Thursday. Better hurry, these deals won't be available until next May.

New Leaf open Memorial Day

New Leaf Landscape and Garden Center, 0395 State Route 235, Ada, is open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The garden center has many summer special offers, which are listed in the flyer above.

Summer Hours:

Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

University's nursing program moving forward

Northwest State Community College graduates will continue their BSN studies in the fall with classes at Bluffton

Five Bluffton University nursing majors recently graduated from Northwest State Community College with their associate degrees.

Four of the students were also inducted into Alpha Delta Nu, the nursing honor society at NSCC.

As a dual-degree program, Bluffton University nursing majors must first complete their foundational nursing classes and earn their associate degrees before completing their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Bluffton. 

Bluffton's Memorial Day public observation returns

Heather Amstutz Ferrao, daughter of Bob and Beverly Amstutz, will speak at Maple Grove

After a one-year absence, Bluffton will observe Memorial Day (Monday, May 31) with an in-person ceremony at the Memorial Circle at Maple Grove, following the traditional parade through the village.

Heather Amstutz Ferrao, daughter of Robert and Beverly Amstutz of Bluffton, is this year’s speaker at Maple Grove.

The parade forms at 9 a.m. at the town hall and moves out at 9:30 a.m. The Maple Grove service is at 10 a.m.

Approaching the bar

Bluffton High School sophomore, Brianna Tabler, won first place in the District III girls' pole vault finishing at 9 feet 3 inches. She advances to the regional this week. Another BHS sophomore, Allison Diller, was second at 9 feet. She also advances to regional. In this photo series are additional district track photos by Jamie Nygaard.
