Pirate baseball to play Riverdale at Mud Hens' stadium

On Tuesday, May 14, 5he Bluffton High School baseball team will play the Riverdale Falcons at Fifth Third Field in Toledo, the home of the Toledo Mud Hens. Game time is 7:00 p.m. and admission is free.

Save the Date: Festival of Wheels is June 14

The 56th Festival of Wheels Cruise In hosted by the Bluffton Lions Club will be held on Friday, June 14. The show fills downtown Bluffton with antique and classic cars, trucks, tractors, fire engines and motorcycles.

Parking for entries will begin at 1:00 p.m. with cars on Main St. as well as Vine, Church and Jackson Streets.

Registration takes palce from  1:00-5:00 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine.

Ethan Nickel is May BHS Student of the Month

The Bluffton High School student of the month for May 2024 is Ethan Nickel, son of Kevin and Kendra Nickel of Bluffton. 

Nickel is an outstanding senior and active member of the Bluffton student body, participating in math club, academic team and Spanish club. 

An accomplished musician, Ethan also performs in the choir, marching band, concert band and pep band. Nickel is a member of the National Honor Society, and is currently taking CCP courses at Ohio Northern University and the University of Findlay, with previous coursework completed at Bluffton University.

75th anniversary celebration at Trinity Lutheran School

Trinity Lutheran School, 105 Allen Street, Jenera, will celebrate 75 years since its beginning with the 1948-1949 school year. Two services will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, on Sunday, May 19 at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m.

Pirate tennis competes at sectionals

LIMA – Three Bluffton High School boys tennis players and a doubles duo won their first match but were then eliminated in the second round at the Div. II UNOH tennis sectional singles tournament Thursday, May 9.
