Bluffton Police Docket for January

Rick Skilliter, Bluffton police chief, provided the Icon with the January Bluffton police log, which follows:

January 3
-A S. Main St. business reported that unknown persons had used their banking numbers to create counterfeit checks and were cashing them in other parts of the state.
January 5
-A Hillcrest Dr. resident reported a child custody dispute. 
January 6
-A College Ave. resident reported money missing.
January 10
-Police responded to an alarm at an E. Jefferson St. business and found that unknown persons had broken into the building. There was no one in the building at the time the officers arrived.
-A Commerce Ln business reported that an employee had stolen money orders while they were working.
January 11
- Police arrested Kira Hunsicker, 26, Bluffton, for DUS following a traffic stop on SR 103.  The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
-A S. Main St. business turned some items over to the police department that had been left at the business.
January 13
-A College Ave. resident reported that the subject she has a TPO against had been at her residence earlier in the day.
January 14
-A Shannon St. resident reported a child custody dispute.
January 17
-A Wapakoneta resident reported threats being made toward him while he was at work at a Navajo Dr. business.
January 18
-Officers were called to the area of Cherry St. and Railroad St. in regards to an intoxicated male in the roadway.  Upon arrival officers located Michael Gilbert, 36, Bluffton. After a short investigation, Mr. Gilbert was arrested for Persistent Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
January 21
-Police responded to a Domestic Violence complaint at a Railroad St. residence.
January 24
-Police responded to a non-injury traffic crash at the intersection of Main and Vine Streets.           
January 25
-Officers assisted the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office at a CR 33 residence.   
January 30
-A W. Elm St. resident filed a telephone harassment complaint.
