Bluffton's blitz on TV begins tonight. Fox TV, Lima, channel 9, Time Warner, will feature the community this week with several feature stories. In addition, several Bluffton area businesses, including the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, will air TV spots.
The Bluffton chamber's 30-spot will run 29 times in the next two weeks. The spot includes several familar Bluffton scenes with a script inviting persons to the community. It also promotes June events in Bluffton including the Festival of Wheels on June 13 and the community fireworks on June 28.
A familar Bluffton voice - Everett Collier's - is the backgroun voice of the commercial. The first commercial airs tonight (Monday) at 6:37 p.m. during Modern Family. On Tuesday it airs at 2:51 p.m. on Judge Judy, at 9;15 p.m. on I wanna Marry Harry, and during the 10 p.m. news.
In addition, Fox TV will be broadcasting live from the Bluffton Airport on Thursday, May 22. Several feature stories about the community will be aired throughout the week. Among those stories includes interviews with Main Street business persons, Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs, Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio, Swiss Historical Society, Fair Trade and Bluffton Community Assistance food pantry.
