Michael Waltz was a U.S. Army veteran

Michael A. Waltz, 66, of Rawson, Ohio, died the evening of January 13, 2015 at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Michael was born May, 13, 1948 in
Bluffton, Ohio to the late Ralph A. and Marie E. Waltz. On October 5, 1968, Michael
married Mary E. Reichenbach at the First Mennonite Church in Bluffton.

He is survived by the love of his life, Mary, sons, Nicholas A. (Angela) Waltz of
Fairfield, OH. Barry E. (Reva) Waltz of Rawson, OH. and Michael E. (Stacey) Waltz of
Bluffton. Also surviving are grandchildren, Tyler and Rachel Waltz, Mason,
Hayley, Evelyn and Natalie Waltz, Katelynn Waltz and a grandson due in mid April. He
is survived by his three sisters, Linda (Bill) Green of Bluffton, Lora (Tobby) Thomson
of Dunkirk and Lue Ann (John M.) Heldman of Rawson. Also surviving are his brothers
and sister by marriage, Edward (Nancy) Reichenbach of Bluffton and Douglas (Patricia) Reichenbach of Madison, Ohio and Sally (Bill) Tracy of Lima.

Michael was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1968-1970 and was a lifetime
member of the VFW in Arlington, OH. He was a millwright and had retired from Cooper
Tire and Rubber in 2010. Mike was proud to have coached his sons for many years in
little league and jr. pony baseball. He was an avid fisherman and golfer and loved the
trips to Minnesota with his family. Mike was a wonderful husband, father and
grandfather. He was so proud of his sons, their wives, and his very special grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton, Ohio.  Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Clymer Cemetery, Mt. Cory, and will conclude with a service by the Hancock County
Veterans Memorial squad. The family asks that memorials be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
