John "Jack" Newton Shoupe was an Air Force veteran

John “Jack” Newton Shoupe, 83, died Feb. 21, 2017, at Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton. John was born July 13, 1933, in Findlay to Roscoe and Helen (Kelchner) Shoupe, who preceded him in death. On March 4, 1962, he married Louise (Herr) Shoupe who survives.

Jack was an Air Force veteran during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Meadow Gold Dairy as a salesman until his retirement.

Survivors include a son, Rick (Kelly) Shoupe of Pandora; three daughters, Julie (Dan) Wolfe of Columbus Grove, Susan Mayer of Bluffton, Lisa  (Dan) Wilhelm of Pandora; two brothers, Jim Shoupe of Florida, and Bob (Judy) Shoupe of Findlay.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Zane Wolfe of Findlay, Alisha Howell of Bluffton, Cassie Wolfe of Bluffton, Vyette Mayer of Lima, Jordyn Mayer of Bluffton, Marisa Mayer of Bluffton, Nicholas (Whitney) Hines of Pandora, Andrea (Kevin) Williams of Bluffton, Logan Hines of Pandora; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Hines of Pandora, Nadika Howell of Bluffton, and one great-grandchild on the way.

Preceded in death by a sister; Pat Weaver; a daughter, Lorie Shoupe; and a great-grandson, Dylan Zane Wolfe.

Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, at 11 am at Ebenezer Mennonite Church in Bluffton with Rev. Dick Potter to officiate the service.

Burial will be in Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 24, 5 - 8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services in Bluffton and at the church one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, or Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton.
