MAY 7 MEDIA RELEASE__First National Bank is proud to announce the promotion of Trevor Kline to the position of Associate Commercial Lender. In his new role, Kline will be  responsible for analyzing, assessing, and managing real estate, business, agricultural, and consumer credit loans and lines of credit.

DOLA – The visiting Bluffton High School girls softball team lost 6-2 to Hardin Northern Wednesday evening, May 7.

The Polar Bear girls scored five big runs in the third inning to overcome a 1-0 deficit and win. 

Bluffton tallied a run in the top of the first and another in the fifth.

The Pirate girls dropped to 2-11 overall with the loss. HN improved to 14-4 after the win.

In unofficial primary election results for May 6, 2025, the Allen County Board of elections reports that the Proposed Tax Levy (Renewal) for the Bluffton Exempted Village School District passed by a wide margin.

Allen County voters also renewed a Tax Levy for Children Services with 5,662 yes votes and 2,358 no votes.

County voters approved State issue 2, which passed on the state level with support comprising 67.76% of votes.

Bluffton Public Library will host a Not@Noon Book Group (R) with the same monthly title as Noon Book Group for the months of May, June, August and September. For the 6 p.m. meeting on May 8, the group is discussing Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse G. Sutanto.
