Using a book as a metaphor, you could say that the final chapter of Cindy Chasse’s story as director of Bluffton Public Library concluded on Saturday.
Chasse’s last day as director of the Bluffton Public Library was Saturday, although technically she retires on Dec. 21. She held the position since September 2009.
During Chasse’s four years as director, the Bluffton Public Library survived significant budget cuts from the state. To counter those cuts Chasse developed several fundraisers to create awareness of the library’s financial needs to its patrons.

Attention kids: 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, in the First National Bank lobby. It's your last chance to talk with Santa Claus in Bluffton this season.
