Local photographer and designer Charlene McCoy of Pandora will soon be celebrating her first international feature via the online company Monoqi.

Based out of Berlin, Germany, Monoqi is an online shop dedicated to providing its customers with exceptional design items.

McCoy said that she was first contacted by a Monoqi design scout in August. Since that time she has had the opportunity to witness first-hand the extensive work that goes into creating a company that works with artists worldwide.

St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton, will hold a Christmas craft bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at the church, 160 N. Spring St.

The event includes a silent raffle and offers handcrafted items for sale from crafters and vendors. Admission is $2 or two cans of food. All admissions proceeds will be donated to the Bluffton food pantry.

Dr. Lamar Nisly, professor of English and associate dean of academic affairs at Bluffton University, will present a program Thursday, Nov. 8, on the recently published book that he edited, “Conversations with Tim Gautreaux.”

The event, also including a reception, is free and open to the public beginning at 4 p.m. in the Musselman Library Reading Room on the Bluffton campus.

Greg's Pharmacy want to spread democracy, not the flu this month. Because of that the pharmacy has a "Vote and Vaccinate" promotion underway, according to Greg Conkling.

"Be sure to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 6, and stop by Greg's Health Mart Pharmacy from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 6 p.m. and get your flu shot. No appointment necessary," said Conklling.

The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association, (BAMA), will hold the annual community Thanksgiving service in conjunction with the community meal on Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center.

The Bluffton Presbyterian Church will provide the community meal that evening. Other congregations will provide pies for dessert.

The meal begins at 6 p.m. The Thanksgiving service beings at 6:45 p.m.
