Are you suffering from the winter blahs, or looking for a new way to get some exercise this winter?

The Bluffton Senior Citizen may have the solution to your blahs.

Tonya Meyer of the Center says: "Maybe you just want to get out of the house to have some fun. Come join the Bluffton Senior Center in learning modern Western square dancing at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30."

She says that Western dance differs from traditional square dancing in the complexity of the calls or movements of the dance.

Becky Warren and Mike Burris tied as winners of the 2011-12 Icon college football ball contest, according to Corey Greer, contest judge. Both contestants correctly picked 22 games. Both had the same 4 tie-breakers.

This is the final sports contest of the season. Watch for high school, college and NFL contests next August.

Bluffton University honored 34 faculty and staff members for their years of service at the university's annual recognition dinner on Jan. 22. The honorees have been at Bluffton for five, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years.

The longest-serving staff member recognized at the dinner was Dr. Sally Weaver Sommer, vice president and dean of academic affairs, who began her 25-year Bluffton career as a faculty member in economics before moving into administration.

Peter Suter of Shannon Theatre announced that "Happy Feet 2" (PG) (in 2D only) and "Sherlock Holmes" (PG-13) are showing at the theatre from January 27 - February 2.

The Pandora United Methodist Church will host an America Red Cross blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2. The church is located at 108 E. Washington St., Pandora.

Bluffton Public Library invites you to warm up with great chili and enjoy live music at its second annual "Cook for Books" Chili Cook-Off. The event will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at 145 South Main St., Bluffton.
